Donation Refund Policy

Manas India is grateful for every donation. We understand that sometimes a donation may be made in error or you may wish to request a refund. This policy outlines how we handle such requests.
Eligibility for refund
You may request a refund of your donation within 7 (seven) days of the transaction date. Refund requests must be made in writing to contact@manasindia.org with your full name, transaction ID, date of donation, and reason for the request.
Process
Once we receive your request, we will verify the transaction and process the refund within 10–15 working days. Refunds will be credited to the same payment method used for the donation. For UPI/card payments, the refund may take additional time as per the bank's processing period.
Tax exemption
If you have already received a tax exemption certificate (80G) for the donation, it may be invalidated upon refund. You may need to declare the refunded amount in your tax filings as applicable.
Exceptions
We reserve the right to decline refund requests that are fraudulent, abusive, or outside the 7-day window. In case of duplicate transactions or technical errors, we will work with you to resolve the issue.
